Unicode Status for Gurmukhi

In The Unicode Standard, Gurmukhi script implementation is discussed in Chapter 12 South and Central Asia-I — Official Scripts of India, UTN 25: Gurmukhi Character Names, and in UTN 30: ISCII to Unicode Conversion Issues for Gurmukhi.

The Gurmukhi script was first encoded in The Unicode Standard version 1.0. The script is encoded in the following block:

Vedic Extensions may be used with the Gurmukhi script as well as many other Indic scripts.
