Newari newspaper using Ranjana and Newar/Prachalit scripts

The February 2009 edition of the Lipi Pau Monthly, a monthly current affairs publication printed in the Newari language since 2007. This newspaper illustrates the growing use of written Newari (also called Nepal Bhasa) within the Newar community in Nepal, mixing the Ranjana and Prachalit scripts in much the way that fonts are mixed in English publications to distinguish between heading and body text.
