12th century Ge'ez text

This is an Ethiopian priest holding a 12th century manuscript written in Ge’ez, the predecessor of the modern Amharic language. This language is no longer used for day-to-day purposes, but remains the liturgical language of the Orthodox and Catholic churches in Ethiopia and Eritrea.
