Unicode Status for Newa
In The Unicode Standard, Newa script implementation is discussed in Chapter 13: South and Central Asia-II — Other Modern Scripts.
The Newa (formerly called Newar or Prachalit) script was encoded in The Unicode Standard version 9.0. The script is now encoded in the following block:
Blocks | Character Range | Added in Unicode Version | Unicode chart |
---|---|---|---|
Newa | 11400..1147F | 9.0 | U11400.pdf |
Subsequent to version 9.0, the following characters have been added to the Newa script:
Characters | Unicode Version | Documentation |
---|---|---|
1145E | 11.0 | L2/16-383 |
Pending indicates codepoint assignments are not final; Documentation refers to ISO Working Group and Unicode proposals
