Script description
Chisoi is used in West Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand for writing the Kurmali / Kudmali language. Since 2009 the script has been taught in more than 50 schools in West Bengal.
The script is written from left to right. The script consists of eight vowels, twenty consonants, two linguistic signs and ten digits. Vowels are written as full letters, but consonants may have an inherent vowel. The script has no regular system of conjuncts. There are no attested ligatures.

Unicode information
The Chisoi script has been accepted for encoding in a future version of the Unicode Standard.. The script has a provisional allocation at U+16D80..U+16DAF in the Roadmap to the SMP for the Unicode Standard.
